Ropes for Offshore Technology

Offshore technology places high demands on ropes and installations. In addition to destructive and non-destructive basic research, the aspects of environmental impact and material behaviour play a major role.

The area of offshore rope technology represents a cross-section of the two sister teams. Both destructive rope tests, for example for subropes from mooring lines, and non-destructive rope tests, for example for crane ropes, are carried out.
