The field of expertise can be divided into four areas:

At the IFT various test stations can be used for research activities, industrial cooperations and teaching. The Learning Warehouse (LernLager) e.g. can be used for the scientific analysis of manual picking processes.

New developments of the IFT in the field of flexible production logistics, for example in automobile production, are tested in ARENA2036 (Active Research Environment for the Next Generation of Automobiles).

Changeable production logistics

We develop and optimize individual logistics solutions for efficient production logistics.

Planning and simulation in intalogistics

We develop individual practical solutions with the aid of intelligent planning tools and processes.

Green Logistics

We deal with topics relating to sustainable logistics both in practice and within research projects.
