Non-Destructive Rope Testing

We develop a wide range of practice-oriented rope testing methods, test ropes and systems and deal with all issues relating to ropeway technology.

Development of rope testing devices and methods

We are constantly researching and developing new testing methods for rope measurement. With our decades of experience in the development of rope testing devices, together with our cooperation partner MESOMATIC GmbH Co. KG we create products for rope testing that are ready for series production and have proven and established themselves in practical use by our customers. The products of the SXRT-Welt are distributed by MESOMATIC .

Technology for rope testing - the new SXRT world

Rope Test Methods

The IFT testing team is deployed worldwide to monitor ropes and systems. Magneto-inductive and visual rope testing enable the non-destructive condition assessment of wire ropes. The electronic and wireless measurement data acquisition and processing as well as the semi-automatic analysis software of the rope testing systems ensure reliable results.

Magneto-Inductive Rope Testing: Testing of ropes with d = 4 mm to d = 140 mm:

  • Detecting Wire Breaks (LF)
  • High-Resolution Rope Testing
  • Loss of Metallic Area (LMA)

Visual Rope Testing: testing of ropes up to d = 80 mm

  • Can be combined with all SMRT devices
  • Color cameras with autofocus
  • Swiveling additional lighting
